Preliminary Schedule
of Events for LCS 2010
Wednesday June 23rd,
2010:
Driving
School at Mid Ohio Race Course: If you
are interested in participating in this course I highly recommend it. I have not taken the course myself (yet), but
I intend to one of these years. Everyone
I have talked to that has taken the class was completely satisfied and felt
much safer and more in touch with their car after the class. The cost is $325 for the one day class that
includes plenty of track time for beginners and experienced track drivers. If you are interested see the event listing
on our web site.
Thursday June 24th, 2010:
This is the
official start day for LCS 2010. A lot
of the cars start showing up early and getting ready for the fun and
friends. Registration will be open from
3pm to 7pm at the Holiday Inn Suites (new hotel). There are no scheduled events for Thursday
other than catch up with old friends and meet some new ones. No food available Thursday so you are on your
own.
Friday June 25th, 2010:
On Friday
we have cruises to several parts of Ohio. A complete list of cruises will be available
once we have them all ironed out. There
will be a staggered start to the cruises starting about 8am. We will also be having an autocross at the
Ohio Historical Society from about 8am till 4pm. Friday afternoon a lot of the cars meet at a
Quaker Steak and Lube restaurant for a mini car show from 4-6 pm on the north
side of Columbus (Polaris Exit off I-71). An address will be provided for those
that have never been there before. At
6pm we head back to the tent for live music and silent auctions. Registration will be open from 10am to 6pm at
the Holiday Inn then at the tent after that through the evening. There will be dinner available at a cost from
the Salvi’s next door set up near the tent.
Saturday June 26th, 2010:
Saturday
Morning is the big event in London. We line up at the Speedway
truck stop just outside London
by 8 am and at 9 am the Sheriff blocks the road and we all parade into
town. It is quite a site to see 160-300
Cobras in a row. While in London there will be all you can eat breakfast at the
Masonic lodge and box lunch at the Methodist
Church. We will start giving charity rides shortly
after we get to London
and can get things set up. There will be
vendors there along with other food available across Main Street at the Strawberry Festival. OCC will have our trailer and booth set up to
sell tickets for the raffle car. We
leave London at
about 3pm and head back to the tent.
Dinner is about 6:00 or 6:30 then we have live auction and a guest
speaker. At about 9:30 we draw the
winning ticket for the Cobra Raffle Car.
You will want to get a ticket or two.
Sunday June 27th, 2010:
Sunday
morning the church next to us has an all you can eat pancake breakfast under
our tent (We put the tent up on their baseball field) that benefits their youth
group. It is great fun since the
pancakes are made by Chris’s cakes and he flips them to your plate from 10-25
feet away. It’s a lot of fun and his
pancakes are very good. Most of the
people head home Sunday morning or afternoon or take in one of the cruises they
didn’t get to do on Friday.
As always
there will be guys in yellow STAFF shirts to answer any of your questions. If you need more details or special requests
you can email us at info@londoncobrashow.com. I will respond as soon as I can to you
inquiries.
See you in
June,
